Baguio the 2nd time around! :))

Last March 30 2012 me and my classmates went to Baguio.

Its my classmates birthday, he's paying for the hotel accommodation, all we  have to  pay is the bus fare from manila to Baguio.

We all have work, so we didn't went there at the same time.

Before we arrived at Baguio, we first went to Pangasinan to pick up the birthday celebrant.

We ate there, and we ride bus again, from Urdaneta to Baguio.

We almost arrive at the same time in Baguio with our other classmates, because they did not go to Pangasinan.

After our arrival, our hotel is walking distance across the bus terminal Victory liner. First we did not know where the hotel is, we asked the guard at the terminal, and tell us how to go there.

Then we finally found it. It is beside SM Baguio. You will see Sm in front of the hotel.

After our check in. We wait for our other classmates, and when they arrived we decided to go to Burn-ham Park. I thought that the boat ride there is closed, but when we get there, some people still offer us for a ride and much cheaper than the morning price.

20 pesos each. So we have 2 boats.

We almost spend 2 hrs in the boat. haha

After boating, the guys want to drink. So we find some bar, we ask the taxi driver if he knew some bar in baguio. So He drove us there, but the bar that he was saying is, for adults and women are not allowed. haha, so we decided to go to Padis Point, it's near the Burn-ham Park.

When we are finished, we walk straight to our hotel. Our hotel is just walking distance.

Our hotel room have 3 separate rooms and 1 sala with sink.

Day 2

Our hotel accommodation have free breakfast. You will choose between Filipino or American breakfast.

The foods are delicious.

After we've eaten, we went to Mines View Park.

There still too many people coming in to mines view.

The view was beautiful, and we can see some grave on the backyards, most of the people in Baguio bury their love ones on their backyards.

After Mines View Park, we went to Tree Top Adventure at Camp John Hay.

When we arrive there, we decided to go for a zip-line.

Superman Ride

After this, our classmates friend suggested that we should eat at a famous diner in Baguio, The 50's Diner.

The place was like a typical american old diner.

Its is beautiful. The walls have old poster, album, etc..

The waitress have cute uniforms, and of course the food was good.

We are all full after eating at 50's diner. Haha

Then we went to Botanical Garden.

Some place at the botanical garden was under construction.

I remember the mini cave that we enter. It is so dark there and like you where on a puzzle. We did not know where the exit was, some of us are scared because of the long darkness that we encounter.

outside the small cave like

After Botanical Garden, We are off to Strawberry Fields in La Trinidad Benguet.

The ride there was long because there is a traffic at the highway.

The giant strawberry

We're lucky because its strawberry season.

The one basket of strawberry that you will be picking is 400 pesos and if you don't pick and just buy outside the field, the price is half.

After the strawberry fields, we went to Baguio Market to buy some 'pasalubong'.

There was too many tourist at the market.

After buying pasalubong, we went back to hotel and take a rest.

Me and my friend decided to go to SM.

Day 3

Our check out time at the hotel is 12 pm so we still have the morning to go in other places. Some of us went to church, and  market some, stays at the hotel.

Then we have our breakfast.

Last breakfast at the hotel

After we've eaten, we get our things and went to the bus staion.. oops theres more..
after Baguio we went to Isdaan, at Gerona Tarlac.

Sunny Baler, Rainy Manila

My office mates were planning on having a summer getaway. The first date that we've talk about is early February, but for some reasons, it moved and moved and moved... and I thought it will never gonna be set.

And ..

For months of planning and planning.. We all decided to go in Baler, Aurora. We plan, look for a place, think of what to do and tadaaaah! It is all set! c: Thanks to Sir Erwin. haha!

We have an itinerary for our trip.

Our to-do

expenses per person

So our departure time in the bus station is 1:30 AM  and we need to get there at 12:30 AM.

After work i arranged my things and go to Genesis bus terminal in Cubao. We will be riding in the Executive Coach. Its so comfortable inside the bus, and the seats are huge.

Joybus includes:

Blanket - so you can comfortably relax and sleep during the bus travel and it keeps your warm because its cold inside.
Pillow - for you to rest your head. c:
Snacks - during our travel time,  we have a snack (nagaraya and skyflakes) and water.
Stewardess - like you are on a plane :))
Wi-Fi - you can surf, tweet, post or anything you can do on you phone, tablet, ipod, ipad etc..
Portable CR - so if nature call, you can release anytime even without bus stop. hehe

The bus ride has no stop over so travel time is much faster than other bus. It only takes 5 hrs from Manila to Baler.

Upon our arrival, we went Pacific waves inn where we will stay for the whole trip.

 It's near the seaside.

So the first thing we do after we are settled in our rooms is to eat c: , we walk along the beach to find a restaurant.

The foods are good and not expensive.

After we've eaten, we are off to Ditumabo Falls, and before we can reach the falls, we have to trek. We've crossed 6 small rivers, and the trails are rocky and slippery because of moss.

After a long and tiring walk or should i say trek, I am happy to see a beautiful Ditumabo Falls.

The falls water is clear, clean and cold. haha.

Then when we are done swimming, taking pictures and play in the falls we are now off to the Biggest Balete Tree I've ever seen. :))

Our service takes us to the Balete tree, it is a private owed, so you need to give a donation on the owner after you are done visiting.

Then we eat at a 150 pesos eat all you can restaurant.
Its 'sulit' because theres so many kinds of  'ulam' to choose for, all filipino foods and also with desert and fruits.

The foods are delicious.

After we are full, we went to Museo De Baler, just a walking distance from Gerry's Shan eat all u can.

And just for another walking distance is the replica of the old presidential car. It is used by our late President Manuel L. Quezon.

You can take pictures on it, you can also go inside the car and take pictures.

Then we went to church, also a walking distance from the replica of the presidential car.

After this, we asked our service driver if there's a white sand beach in Baler, and he bought us there. Entrance fee is 10 pesos per person. Its cheap but when we got to go to the water, the sand hurts. It has some broken shell mixed with the sand. Its hard to walk, but the sand is white and beautiful. So we cannot swim in the water, we just take pictures.

After this, we go back to our Inn and swim in the baler beach.

DAY2

On the morning, we eat breakfast in 'carenderia'. They have the tapsilog. So we order, and when the foods are served, we are shocked because the tapa is small and only 4 - 5 pcs, its like childs meal.

Tapsilog :|

After we have eaten, we decided to rest in the Inn.

Then some of us decided to try surfing. yehey! hehe

I did not join because I can't swim (so sad), so we decided na lang to watch them and go to the beach.

After surfing, We all decided to pack our bags. We will not be riding the Joy bus, we ride at a service van from Baler to Cabanatuan and from there, we will be riding a bus going to manila.

We ride tricycle to the van terminal, and beside it is the 'pasalubong center' where we buy shirts, foods, keychains, bags, etc..
